Features of Hide-A-Way Lake:
- Acreage -
Hide-A-Way Lake Community contains 1558 lots averaging approximately 1/3 acre each and surrounds a fresh water lake of approximately 200 acres. The terrain is piney woods and hilly and ranges from 70-130 feet above mean sea level. The total area of the development is approximately 1600 acres.
- Dam - The length of the dam is 1170 feet with a crown width of 10 feet and the maximum height is 38 feet. The concrete spillway is 232 feet wide located at the north-east abutment of the dam. The lake level is also controlled by valves located in a junction box at the base of the dam for draw down purposes.
- Stables -
Located in the northeast corner of the subdivision. There is a barn with 10 stalls. We currently have two stalls vacant and available for rent at press time of this Echoes.
There is a monthly fee for rental of the stalls. The club office must be contacted
at 601-798-1484, for further information.
- Roads —
The 22 miles of roads within HAWL community are private and not open to the public. Admittance to the subdivision is through a guard gate manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Admittance is only by membership card or window decal which is updated as needed. A speed limit of 25 mph is posted, and enforced.
Maintenance of time roads is paid from Hide-A-Way Lake Club, Inc. operational fees.
